Thousands of Kiwi kids are going back to school without breakfast. These children are missing out on equal opportunities for learning because they are not equipped to thrive in the classroom. My posters focus on breakfast ‘the most important meal of the day’ with the aim to create awareness of the primary statistic of one in five Kiwi kids going to school without breakfast. This allows the viewer to recognise the statistic through a well-known Kiwi breakfast of Marmite on toast. In my second concept, I illustrated egg holders, although eggs might not be your average every morning breakfast the idea was for the eggs to convey childlike charm.
